"Prof S Rajasekaran and his team of spine doctors won the ISSLS Basic Science Research Award for their work on identifying the anatomical weak point in the lumbar inter-vertebral disc in patients with slipped disc disease. Dr S Rajasekaran received the ISSLS Best Spine Research Award on 17th May 2013 in the Annual Meeting of the International Society for the Study of Lumbar Spine (ISSLS) conducted in Scottsdale, USA."
