The first Ganga Hospital Founder's Oration was held on Friday 14th June, 2013. Ganga Hospital, founded in 1978, has grown into a 486 bedded hospital standing tall as an example of academic and professional excellence. To celebrate the journey of the founders who inspired the team to reach such great heights, the Founder's oration has been instituted since 2013. Dr. Devi Shetty, Chairman, Narayana Group of Hospitals, Bengaluru delivered the first Founder's Oration on the topic of 'Affordable Health Care'. Hon. Justice Shri P. Sathasivam was the Chief Guest. Shri. D. R. Kaarthikeyan, Former Director CBI, India and Shri. K. Venkatraman, MD & CEO, Karur Vysya Bank felicitated the occasion.
The second Ganga Hospital oration was held on Saturday 1st November 2014. Mr. N. Gopalswami, IAS(Retd), Former Chief Election Commissioner of India, delivered the second Founder's Oration on “ Governance and the Governed ”. Mr. N. Gopalswami is known for his uprightness and hardwork. He joined the Indian Administrative Service in 1966 and served exemplarily in various capacities as secretary, Department of Culture, Indian Home Secretary, Commissioner of Surat and Chief Election Commissioner before his retirement in 2009. Mr.Krishnaraj Vanavarayar, Chairman of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Educational Institution presided over the function.
The third Ganga Hospital oration was held on Saturday 31st October 2015. Mr. N. Gopalakrishnan, Director of Tata Group Promoter holding company delivered the second Founder's Oration on “ Achieving Excellence: an attitude or a goal ”. Mr Gopalakrishnan is a distinguished alumnus of IIT Kharagpur and has served in many leadership positions including being the Vice-chairman of Hindustan Lever. Mr.Gopalakrishnan also serves as an independent director of many listed companies. The meeting was presided by Mr M Krishnan, Managing Director, Sri Krishna Sweets, Coimbatore.
Industrial and Automative visionary, Mr Venu Srinivasan, delivered the fourth Ganga Founder's Oration that was held on October 22nd, 2016. Mr Venus Srinivasan is the chairman of the Sundaram Clayton Group, which includes the TVS Motor Company, the 3rd largest two wheeler manufacturer in India. He has been awarded the 'Padma Shri' in 2010 and 'Order of Diplomatic Service Merit” by Republic of Korea”. He delivered the oration on the topic, “ Values that build Institutions ”. The meeting was presided by Mrs Vanitha Mohan, President, Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Coimbatore.
