Dr Shyam Kumar completed his M.B.B.S in 2000. He finished his Diploma in Clinical Pathology in 2003. He has worked in Coimbatore Medical College Hospital as Tutor in Blood Bank between 2004 –2010. During this period he has conducted around 500 blood donation camps and been a training faculty to CEMONC centres Doctors and paramedics. In the year 2005 he was awarded for his commendable humanitarian service by the District Collector. Then in the year 2010 he joined Ganga Hospital as Consultant and headed blood centre and laboratory services. He completed the Internal auditor & Quality Management Systems certificate course in 2014. Actively conducts blood donation camps to support the needs of our patients. In the year 2019, he got our laboratory NABL Accredited as per ISO 15189 standards. He is part of the Continuous Quality Improvement Committee member and also the Infection Control Officer. He actively participates in various workshops related to quality control improvements of blood centres and diagnostic laboratories . He is part of the DNB and Ganga Institute of Health Sciences faculty team and trains the Junior Doctors, paramedical and allied health science students.
