Dr. Rishi Mugesh Kanna finished his graduation from the Madurai Medical College in 2002, where he was the best outgoing student with four gold medals. He pursued his post-graduation from Postgraduate Institute at Chandigarh. He was elected as a member of Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2007. He completed the fellowship training in spine surgery at Ganga Hospital and advanced spine surgical fellowship at Nottingham, England. He delivered the Silver Jubilee Oration of Indian Orthopedic Association at Hyderabad in 2014. His clinical interests include back pain, spondylosis, spinal infections, trauma and deformities. His research focus includes genetics of disc disease, cervical spine imaging and spinal trauma techniques.
