This is considered to be the Bible for all trainees in Microsurgery. Dr Raja Sabapathy was involved in reprinting the second edition of this book in India and Co authored the 3rd Edition of this book. (Due to Dr Raja Sabapathy's efforts as Secretary of the Indian Society for Surgery of the Hand, Dr Acland gave the copyright of the book to the Indian Society. The book was published at Coimbatore for world wide distribution and the entire sale proceeds of the book (Rs 26 lakhs up to 2013) was donated to the society. An overseas traveling fellowship called the Robert Acland – S & T overseas traveling Fellowship has been set up in the Indian Hand Society funded by the interest generated from the amount.
