What to do when hand injuries occur?

Hand injuries bleed heavily. The important thing is, 'Do Not Panic'.

Stopping Bleeding

  • Cover the area with a clean cloth and apply direct and sustained pressure. The bleeding usually.
  • stops in 5 minutes .Do not repeatedly remove the dressing to see if the bleeding has stopped.
  • Elevate the hand. This not only reduces the bleeding, but also helps to relieve pain.
