Dr B B Joshi donates his collection of Books and Journals to the Library of Ganga Hospital
Dr B B Joshi the doyen of Hand Surgery donated his life time collection of books, journals and important photo albums to the Department of Plastic Surgery, Hand & Microsurgery of Ganga Hospital at a ceremony held to mark the occasion. Prof M B Pranesh, a senior neurologist and a lover of books, praised the gesture of Dr Joshi and spoke about the value of thorough reading habits and the qualities of a good clinician. He extensively quoted from the lives of Dr William Osler, Penfield and other famous Doctors of the past. He concluded with remarks on sushrutha and the Indian heritage of surgery.

A new library with excellent facilities has been created. Mrs Kanakavalli Shanmuganathan and Mrs Prabha Joshi lighted the lamp to inaugurate the library. Earlier Dr S Raja Sabapathy praised his achievement as Pioneer in Hand Surgery. Dr S Rajasekaran delivered the vote of thanks.
Dr Joshi’s collection compliments the existing book collection of the Department library.
